Princess Cruises Partners with Discovery Consumer Products

Discovery At Sea is a new collaboration between Princess Cruises and Discovery Consumer Products, the licensing arm of Discovery Communications the world’s number one pay-tv programmer.

The aim is to provide interactive onboard activities, themed tours, science activities, hands-on programs and games based on Discovery’s knowledge and experience of brands and programming.

In early 2015 the interactive experiences will debut on Princess Cruises’ ships and will bring to life the nature, wildlife and culture of the regions the guests are sailing.

Discovery At Sea will base their content on top-rated Discovery network properties from the Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet and Science channels.

Examples of the interactive experiences are:

Discovery, Animal Planet and Science Channel Shore Excursions – if you want to get up close and personal with your destination’s native animals, experience how popular foods and drinks are made and served or would like to try your hand at panning for gold then there are interactive experiences for you.

All activities are designed to be fun and engaging, as well as inspire curiosity. There will also be a feature of television programming including top shows from Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and TLC. Limited-edition merchandise will accompany these activities for guests to take home a souvenir of their experiences.
